#BerrySmooth: @BarackObama Responds to @NICKIMINAJ’s Supposed Support for @MittRomney

Last week, there was much talk regarding Nicki Minaj‘s infamous line on Lil Wayne‘s “Mercy,” fresh off of his Dedication 4 mixtape. Nicki rapped, “I’m a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney /  You lazy bitches is fuckin’ up the economy.”

Barack Obama has since heard the reference made in Nicki’s verse and has responded to the opposing endorsement. He started off by saying that his daughters, Malia and Sasha don’t listen to the Barb’s music on a regular basis. He continued:

“You know, I don’t think they really listen to Nicki Minaj that much. But let’s face it, they are now hipper than me… There’s a certain point where your kids get old enough where they’re just hipper than you are, and Michelle and I, for folks of 50 or as she likes to point out close to 50, because she’s not 50 yet, we try to keep up so we’ve got a nice Hip Hop collection on our iPods.”

In reference to the line about Mitt Romney, our POTUS stated:

“Yeah, I’m not sure that’s actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters. So I don’t know what’s going on there.”

It seems as though our current president is not phased by Nicki Minaj’s rap or support for Romney. He handled the whole situation in a very smooth manner, per usual!

Stay tuned for more political news as our 2012 presidential election approaches.
