#BerryFashionable: @MiamiHeat Player @DwyaneWade To Launch Clothing Line at New York Fashion Week
NBA Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade is not only known as one of the best players in the league, having ten years under his belt, but he is also credited for bringing a different sense of fashion into the sports world. And now, he will be introducing his own clothing line called Wade.
With a Nike contract that just expired, Wade has signed a new deal with Chinese athletic company Li-Ning to create his Wade collection. His first order of business is to make a sneaker, and to accomplish this, he has teamed up with shoe designer Alejandro Ingelmo. If you’re unfamiliar with Ingelmo, just note that he is known for very exclusive, modern designs with a futuristic feel, which should be right up Wade’s innovative alley.
The shoe collection is set to showcase for the first time at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week in February, which is probably the biggest platform you could ever use!
Wade is also making sure it gets a stamp of approval from his fellow NBA players. “I’m on a team with LeBron James and Chris Bosh, and they both dress well,” Wade told GQ Magazine. “It gets competitive. If I don’t bring my A game, they’re going to outshine me,” he said.
Can’t wait to see the finished product!
